GRiT – Girls Mountain Bike Camp

We can’t wait to see you at the PA Interscholastic League’s Girls Riding Together (GRiT) Camp this summer!

Three days of fun and mountain biking with some of our great PA league coaches and some awesome alumnae too.

We’ll hang out, ride, hike, swim, camp, learn a bit about mountain biking, check out the on-site nature center, go bald eagle spotting, create some crafts, do some yoga, play some games, and generally just enjoy the fun that mountain biking and getting outside creates. Yep, in just three days!

The camp is for riders of all levels! Experienced riders will develop their skills and and learn about training to race. But, mountain biking experience is not necessary. Even if you’ve never ridden before, you’re welcome to come here and learn. We’ve a dozen coaches ready to help!

You don’t even need your own mountain bike. We’ve got a whole bunch of bikes ready to loan out. If you need one, just let us know.

RECOMMENDED PACKING LIST (PRELIMINARY)

  • Your mountain bike (be sure it’s in proper working order)
  • Helmet
  • Eye protection
  • Cycling shoes (this may be your sneakers for some riders)
  • Cycling clothes
  • Hydration pack or water bottles and cages on bike
  • Tubes
  • Head lamp or flashlight
  • Toiletries (toothpaste, toothbrush, soap etc)
  • Towels- bath and swim
  • Sleeping bag or linens
  • Mattress cover (a flat sheet will work fine)
  • Pillow
  • Bathing suit
  • Rain coat
  • Rain boots
  • Sneakers or sturdy shoes for hiking and riding
  • Shower shoes
  • Sweatshirt
  • Jeans or sweatpants
  • Shorts
  • Socks (extra socks too)
  • Pajamas Sunscreen
  • Insect repellent (Ticks are bad this year!)
  • Laundry bag for dirty clothes
