The Pennsylvania Interscholastic Cycling League is committed to making sure every student-athlete has the opportunity to participate in all events, regardless of their financial situation.
Committed to Providing Access for Student-Athletes
We are thrilled to offer partial to complete financial aid support to those in need. As we grow as an organization and as donations are made to further support the efforts to put #morekidsonbikes, our financial aid resources will continue to grow.
Financial aid is our commitment to help you be part of this amazing experience. We ask for your commitment in return, a commitment to participation with your team by attending 90% of practices or more. We also want you to tell us about your experience, because it is important to share the stories made possible through this program. If awarded financial aid, you should be prepared to write a letter or shoot a quick video explaining what the sport meant for you. Your identity will be kept confidential at your request.
Financial Aid is available for season and event fees, as well as day camps and clinics.
If your rider requires financial aid, FIRST submit a request with every kid sports. Then, complete and submit the PICL Financial Aid Application by July 20th.
We will review your application and get back to you as soon as possible about the level of financial aid we are able to offer to you.
Every kid deserves the chance to play youth sports.
For PICL families with financial need, check out the program every kid sports. At every kid sports, they believe every kid deserves the chance to play sports. Why? The positive impact and outcomes experienced through participation, that’s why. Be it social connection, mental/emotional well-being, or physical development, so much is in play. every kid sports partners with individuals and organizations to fund their every kid sports pass. This program removes the financial obstacle of participation and encourages families to apply four times per year, per kid, allowing for multi-sport experiences and kid choice.
Coach and Team Financial Aid
Financial Aid is also available to support the formation of a team and to support coaches. Please contact us for more information. We’ll find out more about your situation and do what we can to assist your effort to build a team in your area and to get more kids on bikes!
Supporting & cultivating future riders through scholarships.
Each year, NICA develops scholarships with partners to grow diversity in the sport of cycling and provide better access for diverse and underrepresented youth. Select scholarships also recognize and support student-athletes who have demonstrated academic and athletic excellence during their time with NICA and will attend college and continue to compete in mountain bike racing.
