BECOME A COACH

A PICL coach holds the mental, physical, and social well-being and safety of their student-athletes as the first priority. Making the experience rewarding and fun is a close second!

Our NICA-licensed coaches are role models and teachers who are guided by the best-practices of youth coaching and the growth of the whole student-athlete.

NICA coaches are among the very best trained youth sports coaches.

We take our riders places that other sports never consider. We get to ride along with them. It doesn’t take more than raising a hand.

Because every kid is worth it.

How do I get started?

All coach volunteers are required to obtain a NICA Certification License at one of three levels:

Level 3 Certification: Takes a leadership role within the team. Equivalent competencies as Head Coach.

Level 2 Certification: Assists Level 3 coaches with advanced tasks such as leading rides.

Level 1 Certification: Assists all coaches as directed by the Head Coach.

No experience is necessary to become a Pennsylvania League coach.

We already have teams established that you could volunteer for – a great way to get a first-hand look at what managing a team is like.

We offer comprehensive training via various training sessions throughout the year.
