GIRLS RIDING TOGETHER
Community. Leadership. Fun.
Girls Riding Together (GRiT) creates a welcoming environment for girls and women in mountain biking by building communities that keep them involved and excited to be cyclists for life.
The GRiT program provides opportunities for female student-athletes and coaches from across the state to find connection, share ideas, and offer support, while empowering female student-athletes and coaches to build skills, confidence and leadership, both on and off the bike.
GRiT is about having loads of fun, inviting female students and adults to give mountain biking a try, while supporting those who have already discovered the sport to make it a healthy, life-long passion.
GRiT Opportunties
Camps & Clinics bring female student-athletes and coaches together to learn and practice foundational and progressive bike skills in an inviting environment.
Local Dirts allow female athletes and coaches from neighboring teams to strengthen regional connections and community through competitive and adventure-based rides and activities.
Adventure Rides are for exploring adventure courses and trail systems while creating lasting memories.
Tent Activities offer space to hang out, build friendships, get silly or creative, and recharge.
GRiT Coaches are designated by teams in Pit Zone. They help champion and support GRiT efforts on their team and among neighboring teams. This might look like monthly girls-only practices or planning an all ladies adventure ride with other area student-athletes and coaches.
Our female student-athletes are full of ideas and love to get the ball rolling. GRiT Coaches provide support, encouragement and oversight.

“Our daughter is doing things she never knew she was capable of. I am so incredibly grateful that PICL exists and has given her an opportunity to participate in a healthy, life-long activity.”
