Chasing Miles and Elevation

This summer, my family logged 5,603 miles behind the wheel—why? Bikes, of course! We road-tripped from coast to coast to ride in the PNW and British Columbia. I only made the cross-country drive one way, then stayed with my cousins in Portland and flew home. Why not trade five more days in the car for extra trail time out west? The journey out was an adventure in itself but add an 8-month-old aussiedoodle who got hyped every time we stopped for gas, and even the rest breaks had entertainment value.
