Whether you're brand new to mountain biking or already know how to ride, Girls Riding Together 1-Day Camp is designed to be fun, welcoming, and engaging for all skill levels.

What to Expect

  • Skill-building sessions for all riding abilities

  • Obstacle courses, trail rides & games

  • Bike mechanics

  • Intentional coaching

  • Connection, mentorship & community

Who Can Attend

  • Girls (rising 6th–12th grade) who want to give mountain biking a try

  • Returning female NICA student-athletes (rising 6th - 12th grade)

  • Women interested in becoming NICA coaches (even if new to biking)

  • NICA coaches, adult volunteers, and allies who want to support girls on bikes

  • 9:00 – 11:00 - Bike Skill Basics (new riders) & Skill Enhancement (returning riders)
    11:00 – 11:30 - On- and Off-The-Bike Games
    11:30 – 12:00 - Lunch
    12:00 – 1:00 - Bike Mechanic Workshop
    1:00 – 2:00 - Group Trail Ride

    Coaches, invite your friends, too!

  • We welcome all ability levels. At times, we'll split into ability-based groups for instruction. At other points, we'll all be together for games, food and riding.

    • Bagged Lunch

    • Bike in good working order

    • Properly fitted helmet

    • Water bottle or hydration pack

    • Comfortable riding clothes & shoes
